Following a recent visit to Penarth Town Centre I have one question for the Vale of Glamorgan Town Planners, “what the hell is going on???”
In recent years we had a temporary solution trialled on us, a few bollards installed and a little bit of traffic re-direction. It came and went within six months as everyone realised that the original way of doing things was the best and no one could really improve on a poor situation.
Now it seems this is a one time fix and there’s no way back. Does anyone remember public consultation on this one?
I read that this has been designed and tested on a computer system at the Vale. Could I suggest they ‘phone support as something has seriously gone wrong somewhere.
With only a few weeks to go the centre of Penarth is chaos.
Come on Alun Michael, earn you money and raise some questions on this at the highest levels.
The shoppers of Penarth will revolt and go elsewhere to do their shopping.
How many more empty shops do the council want on their hands.
Give it six months and we shall see!!!
